RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research activities concern the study, at the mesoscopic scale, of dynamics of complex systems under deformation. Special attention is given to the interaction between the linear and non linear rheological properties and the morphology or the structure of the studied systems. Physico-chemistry of the materials is considered to understand the physical phenomenon or to monitor them in order to get new material with new structure and rheological properties.

Field of interest:

- Investigation of the effect of shear on the deformation of droplets with unusual rheological and interfacial properties.
- Dispersed systems and formulation of new polymer-based materials.
- Gelation, rheology and phase separation of biopolymers.
- Dense suspensions of polymeric micelles.
- Adhesion of pressure-sensitive adhesives: relation between rheological and physico-chemical properties of polymers and their adhesive properties (My PhD thesis work).
